Abstract

This paper discusses a unique scene drawn on a pottery jar found during the archaeological excavations of Tell Zaraa in northern Jordan. The research describes the elements of the drawing in detail and highlights the artistic components of the painting which can be linked to the historical, cultural and environmental context of the northern Jordan Valley and its surrounding areas. The article also focuses on the comparative analysis of the drawing elements of the jar. The study emphasizes the uniqueness of the drawing on the jar and the rarity of some elements among the Late Bronze bichrome ware vessels excavated in the region.
