الخلفية: القلق هو أحد الاضطرابات النفسية الأكثر شيوعًا، حيث يصيب 33.7٪ من عامة السكان. ومع ذلك، فقد وجد أن استهلاك الأنظمة الغذائية الصحية يساعد، على الأقل جزئيًا، في الوقاية من الاضطرابات الشبيهة بالقلق وعلاجها.
الطرق البحثية: في هذه الدراسة، تم تقييم سلوكيات القلق لدى الفئران التي تعرضت للتناول المزمن لجرعات منخفضة وعالية من المستخلص الكحولي لتمور المجهول (Phoenix Dactylifera) مقارنة بنظيراتها من الفئران الضابطة التي لم تتناول التمر. تم استخدام اختبار ارتفاع متاهة الصفر واختبار دفن كرات الرخام كنماذج مفضلة لتقييم سلوكيات القلق لدى هذه الفئران. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، تم إجراء تحليل كيميائي نباتي لمجموعات الأيض الثانوية الرئيسية لمستخلص تمر المجهول.
