يعرض هذا البحثُ سيرة موحى وسعيد الويراوي (1856-1924) باعتباره أنموذجًا لأعلام القبائل المغربية الذين سايروا التطوُّرات الكبرى التي عرفها المجتمع المغربي في نهاية القرن التاسع عشر وبداية القرن العشرين؛ فقد ظهر موحى وسعيد زعيمًا قبليًّا يحتكم للأعراف في تسييره لقبيلة آيت ويرا، لكن هذه المرحلة لم تدم طويلا؛ إذ سرعان ما وصلت الجيوش المخزنية لمجال قبيلته، وكان عليه أن يختار بين طاعة السلطان المغربي الحسن الأول أو مواجهة جيوشه الزاحفة نحو جبال الأطلس المتوسط سنة 1886م؛ حيث اختار الويراوي الرأي الأول، وعيَّنه السلطانُ المغربيُّ قائدًا على اتحادية آيت اسري. وبدأت المرحلة الثالثة من حياة موحى وسعيد سنة 1907م بعد التوغُّل الاستعماري الفرنسي في مدينة الدار البيضاء؛ حيث أعلنَ الجهاد، وشرعَ في حشد القبائل ومواجهة الاستعمار إلى حدود وفاته سنة 1924. ومن أبرز خلاصات هذه الدراسة دورُ المجال الذي ترعرع فيه موحى وسعيد في صقل شخصيته وبناء مواقفه من القضايا التي تواجهه.
