نقشان يونانيا جنائزيان من زُغَر/ غور الصافي

تتضمن النقوشُ العائدةُ إلى الفترة البيزنطيّة، المكتشفةُ في السنوات الأخيرة في منطقة غور الصافي جنوبي الأردن، عددًا كبيرًا منَ النقوش الجنائزيّة باللغتين الآراميّة واليونانيّة؛ فهي تحتوي على 456 نقشًا قبوريًّا من مقبرة النقع في زُغَر، وتغطي هذه المجموعة الاستثنائيّة، المتزايدةُ تباعًا، حِقبةً تقع ما بين القرنين الرابع والسابع الميلاديين. وتجري حاليًّا دراسةُ العديد من هذه النصوص في منشورات منفصلة، وكجزء من هذا الجهد تعرضُ الدراسةُ الحاليّةُ نقشين يونانيين إضافيين من موقع زُغَر، تنبع أهميّة أولهما من أنه يسدُّ ثغرةً في الفسيفساء الاجتماعيّة للفترة البيزنطيّة المبكّرة؛ إذ يخلِّد ذكرى فاوستينا الذي يَرِدُ لأول مرّة، فينضم بذلك إلى ثمانية أسماء لاتينيّة أُنثويّة أخرى، ويعود بتاريخه إلى 16 فبراير 503. يُذكَرُ أنَّ هذا التاريخ المناظر لسنة 397 من حِقبة المقاطعة العربيّة معروف في نقش واحد من مدوَّنة نقوش هذه المنطقة، ولكنَّ الإشارة إلى السنة الحاديةَ عشرةَ المذكورةِ تُعَدُّ فريدةً من نوعها. وبالقدر نفسه، فإنَّ اسم ثيودوتوس، الذي يمكن أن يمثِّلَ سلطةً كنسية، أو صفة شمّاس، أو كاهن، أو حتى أسقف مدينة، يُعَدُّ فريدًا من نوعه أيضًا. أمّا زخرفة قرص الشمس الكبير الذي يتوسطه صليب، فقد يمثل إله الشمس سول إنفيكتوس في القسطنطينية، الذي تحوَّلَ إلى المسيحية. وأما النقش الثاني فنادر أيضًا؛ إذ يخلِّدُ ذكرى بارغوناس، الذي يُحتَمَلُ أن يكون مشتقًّا من كُنية شمعون بطرس الواردة في سفر متّى. (16:17).
