الملخص

منذ بدايات القرن التاسع عشر، استقبلت المنطقة، بما فيها الأردن وفلسطين، وفود الرَّحالة الأوائل الذين سلطوا الضَّوء على ثرائها بالموروث الثقافي والحضاري المتعاقب على مرِّ الدهور، الأمر الذي جعلها محطَّ أنظار المهتمين في علم الآثار وتاريخ الحضارات السابقة المتعاقبة عليها. ومنذ تأسيس الدولة الأردنية الهاشمية تجسد الاهتمام بعلم الآثار والموروث الحضاري بتأسيس دائرة الآثار العامة وَسَنِّ القوانين والتشريعات الناظمة للأعمال والتنقيبات الأثرية، كما أُنشئ العديد من المعاهد ومراكز البحث الأجنبية، كالأمريكية والبريطانية والفرنسية والألمانية والإسبانية؛ من أجل المساهمة في تعزيز العمل الأثري واستقطاب الخبرات والباحثين من مختلف بلدان العالم، وأنشأت الجامعات الأردنية معاهد وكليات متخصِّصة في علم الآثار والترميم والصيانة وإدارة المتاحف والإرشاد السياحي بهدف إعداد الكوادر المتخصِّصة. وعلى صعيد آخر، أدرج الأردن العديد من المواقع التراثية والأثرية على لائحة التراث العالمي بتسليط الضَّوء على أبرز المميزات الحضارية العالمية، إضافة إلى إنشاء العديد من المتاحف المحلية وفي الجامعات الأردنية، كما طوَّرت دائرة الآثار العامة برامج فهرسة للمواقع الأثرية تحت مُسَمّى MEGA Jordan؛ لتزويد الباحثين بالمستجدات المتعلقة بالمواقع الأثرية.
