تطوُّر الكتابة التاريخيَّة في الأردن باللُّغة الإنجليزيَّة

في غضون خمسة عشر عامًا من إنشاء دولة شرق الأردن بدأت تظهر أولى تواريخ الدولة الجديدة. وعليه، فيمكنُ خلال القرن الماضي تحديدُ ثلاثِ مراحلَ مميَّزة لكتابة التاريخ الشخصي، الذي كتبه البريطانيون والأردنيون المشاركون في مشروع بناء الدولة الانتدابيَّة، وهي رواياتٌ تاريخيَّة كتبها باحثون مستقلون عن مؤسسي الدولة الأنجلو-أردنيين. وَلَمّا أسَّسَ المؤرِّخون عملَهم على مصادرَ أرشيفيَّةٍ لتحدي نطاق التواريخ السابقة وتوسيعها على مدى ربع القرن الماضي، فقد أصبح كتّاب التاريخ التنقيحي يعتمدون بشكل متزايد على الموارد الأرشيفيَّة والعمل البحثي السابق في الأردن.
