الملخص

اتبع المشتغلون بآثار الأردن مناهج علمية مختلفة في التنقيب عن آثار الأردن ودراستها منذ بدايات القرن التاسع عشر حتى اليوم. وتأثرت هذه المناهج بالتيارات السياسية والدينية السائدة لدى الباحثين الغربيين في آثار جنوبي بلاد الشام، وبالتقدم العلمي الذي شهده علم الآثار في مئتي السنة الأخيرة. يستعرض هذا البحث المناهج المختلفة التي اتُبعت في توثيق آثار الأردن ودراستها منذ مطلع القرن التاسع عشر وحتى اليوم، مشيرًا إلى سماتها الأساسية، وخلفياتها الفكرية، وأهم الآخذين بها. ويتناول البحث في جزئه الثاني المناهج التي اتبعها الأردنيون في تعاطيهم مع الآثار منذ القرن التاسع عشر إلى الآن، وينتهي بنظرة استشرافية إلى المستقبل، ترسم المسار المنهجي الذي يمكن أن يأخذ به الآثاريون الأردنيون في العقود القادمة، بحيث يتخذوا أحدث المناهج العلمية في مجال علم الآثار، وسيلة لإبراز مساهمة علم الآثار في تشكيل الهوية الحضارية الأردنية.
