الأهداف: تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة دور البنية التحتية في جذب الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر في الدول العربية المختارة خلال الفترة 2007-2019 باستخدام البيانات السنوية. تشتمل عينة الدراسة على بيانات السلاسل الزمنية المقطعية (Panel Data) الممثلة لثلاثَ عشرةَ دولةً في المنطقة العربية.
المنهجية: تستخدم الدراسة نموذج المربعات الصغرى الاعتيادي (OLS) لتحليل بيانات السلاسل الزمنية المقطعية Panel Data. ويشتمل نموذج الدراسة على مؤشر البنية التحتية، والانفتاح التجاري، ونموّ الناتج المحلي الإجمالي الحقيقي، ومؤشر الفساد كمتغيرات مستقلة، بينما تم تحديد صافي تدفق الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر كمتغير تابع.
النتائج: تشير نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود علاقة مباشرة ذات دلالة إحصائية لكلٍّ من البنية التحتية ونمو الناتج المحلي الإجمالي والانفتاح التجاري على تدفق الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر، بينما تشير النتائج إلى وجود علاقة عكسية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين مؤشر الفساد وتدفق الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر إلى الدول العربية المختارة.
الاستنتاجات: يمكن اعتبار متغيرات الدراسة كمحددات مهمة لجذب رأس المال الأجنبي المتمثل في الاستثمار الأجنبي المباشر. علاوة على ذلك، لا تزال الدول العربية بحاجة إلى المزيد من المشاريع التي تُسهم في تحسين جودة البنية التحتية.
