أثر التحصيل العلمي على فرص التشغيل ومستوى الأجور في الأردن

الهدف: تناقش هذه الدراسة أثر التحصيل العلمي على فرص التشغيل والأجور في الأردن باستخدام بيانات للأفراد من مسح سوق العمل الأردني JLMPS 2010, 2016.
المنهجية: باستخدام بيانات مقطعية من مسح سوق العمل التتبعي (JLMPS 2010 & 2016) تم استخدام نموذج بروبيت (Probit) لدراسة فرص التشغيل، بينما أُستخدم نموذج الانحدار الخطي المتعدد لدراسة الأجور، ونظراً لعدم تجانس أفراد العينة سمحت النماذج المستخدمة بوجود التباين (Heterogeneity).
النتائج: أظهرت نتائج الدارسة أن التحصيل العلمي يؤثر إيجابياً على التشغيل والأجور؛ وترتفع احتمالية تشغيل الفرد والأجر الشهري مع ارتفاع تحصيله العلمي، رغم استمرار أثره الإيجابي معنوياً إحصائياً، وتراجع أثر التحصيل العلمي على التشغيل والأجور في العام 2016مقارنة بالعام 2010. وتباينت فرص التشغيل والأجور بناءً على النوع الاجتماعي.وأظهرت النتائج ارتباطاً إيجابياً للتشغيل والأجور مع الخبرة العملية وثروة الأسرة أخيراً، وبينما تفاوتت الأجور عبر القطاعات، لا يوجد دليلٌ إحصائي على اختلاف الأجور بناء على الجنسية.
الخلاصة: أدت النتائج إلى سؤال لا مفر منه حول ما إذا كان التعليم والجنس والقطاع ومؤشر الثروة والجنسية والخبرة، بالإضافة إلى العمر ومكان الإقامة وتعليم الوالدين، لا تفسر التفاوت في الأجور في الأردن. ما هي المحددات الأكثر فعالية في تحديد الأجور في الأردن؟ سؤال يحتاج إلى مزيد من البحث والتقصي، مما يترك الباب مفتوحا لمزيد من البحث العلمي حول هذا الموضوع.
